Hannah Waddingham raved about her close friendship with Ted Lasso costar, Jason Sudeikis, while reflecting on the end of their hit comedy following three seasons.
In a sneak peek from her interview on TODAY with Willie Geist, which will air on Sunday, April 21, the British actress, 49, looked back on how she landed the starring role of Rebecca Welton on her beloved series, for which she won an Emmy in 2021.
Geist said he previously heard that Horrible Bosses star, 48, said he had a 'vision' in his mind about who would portray the the unlikely owner of Lasso's boss in the show.
After a number of chemistry tests with other actresses, Sudeikis claimed that he knew she was the one for the role from the minute she walked through the door.

'I felt that,' the Sex Education star remembered. 'It made me very emotional when I heard him say it, because he doesn't give compliments lightly.
She continued: 'He's very special to me in terms of someone seeing something in me. When somebody sees something in you… you don't want to let that person down.'
The mother-of-one also recalled her pal saying that when they met, he first 'saw Rebecca first' and, later, had to 'get to know Hannah.'
'That was just gorgeous,' she raved. 'I always say to him, I've never worked so hard to hear someone, from behind their mustache, go 'mm-hmm.'
'Just that 'uh-huh,' she mused. 'It doesn't matter who else is there. It kinda didn't matter who was directing.'
The mother-of-one went on say Sudeikis considers the hugely popular TV show his 'baby' and says their entire cast was 'spoiled senseless' by the talent in the the writers' room, which included Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein and Phoebe Walsh.
While shooting their third and final season, Waddingham said she would request Sudeikis be around because she 'wanted to get that ending right with him.'
Waddingham's interview comes just days after she called out a photographer for reportedly making a sexist comment while she arrived to host the Olivier Awards.

Video shared by a fan on X captures the moment the performer was posing outside the Royal Albert Hall before a photographer apparently requested she 'show leg.'
The photographer's remarks are inaudible but Hannah is seen shouting over to the crowd of photographers: 'Oh my God, you'd never say that to a man, my friend.'
As fans applaud her she then threatens to leave if the comments continue saying: 'Don't say "show me leg." No.'
